- How far is the water?
- The upper end of Lake Lipno is about two kilometres from the house — a short walk, a few minutes by bike.
- Where do trips start?
- Marked trails begin in the forest right behind the house. Flat paths for walking and cycling run along the Schwarzenberg Canal; Plešné lake is a full-day hike.
- What about winter?
- Groomed cross-country trails start right nearby; downhill runs are at Hochficht, about twenty kilometres by car across the Austrian border.
- Can we come by train?
- Yes — Nová Pec has a railway stop on the line from České Budějovice via Český Krumlov. The stop is about two kilometres from the house.
- What about kids?
- The garden has a playground and the barn a games room. For day trips, the treetop walkway above Lipno is the easiest — stroller-friendly.
